Diana Blandon
Product Designer
Creating digital products involves several steps and responsibilities encompassing various activities throughout the product development lifecycle. As a Product Designer, I value Collaboration, Adaptability, Problem Solving, and Design Consistency as essential principles when working in this lifecycle.
work
All projects are unique, and the design process may not be the same for each client; for me, it is essential to have that mindset. We are facing very isolated roles in the industry, working very mechanically and not thinking about the problems to solve. That is why we must keep talking constantly with users, tech, and business and, most of all, understand the need before using the tools. Here are some successful cases where I worked integrating all the elements, which helped in good results.
Business Oriented
In this case, I helped to create a solution based on blockchain and a digital ecosystem between companies, users, and communities. I helped to define this from the design perspective, understanding the business approach and the company’s needs to meet its sustainable goals.

As products and services evolve, we need new features and requirements to adapt and accommodate faster.

community
One of the most exciting things about Design is sharing and helping others to grow professionally. That is why I have been part of different initiatives like the Design Center and, some years ago, a UX meetup on Medellín.
Design Center
For the last three years, I have been helping in the organization and being a tutor in the Design Center, an initiative inside Globant to guide design in the new challenges. We help designers capable of creating products and services and being prepared to perform autonomously in real projects.
Medellin UX Meetup
From 2013 to 2018, we created this meetup to make community and UX more common in the city. I helped in the organization and talks of the event, bringing development, design, and other professions together.
